"Thanks for a wonderful and memorable trip on the Colorado River through Westwater Canyon. It was fun and relaxing and thrilling...all in one trip. Not only was this educational (petroglyphs, being immersed in nature, observing camping/rafting tips, etc.) but also being with different people in a common purpose. The bonuses included our great guides, Hannah and Josh. I cannot express how impressed I was with their positive attitudes. They never pushed but always encouraged while keeping safety first. Both of them seemed very genuine and approachable for questions and conversation. One thing that really impressed me was that each of them had mentioned at some point on the trip how they felt they were part of a family at AB and their respect for Tom was deep and earnest. I also observed the many details of being prepared for so many possibilities. I know they were taught to be prepared, but obviously there were tons of experience going into what kind of meals/food, how to best pack, how to handle different situations, time schedules, etc. And it does take a very special kind of person to be a great rafting guide...Hannah and Josh certainly meet the status of "great rafting guides"...and kudos to Tom for knowing to hire them. Thanks to all involved (those who pack the supplies, determine the menu, teach the safety, select and train the best guides, friendly bus drivers, and all others behind the scenes) because it takes everybody doing an excellent job to make a rafting trip so successful. They were extremely professional and they never forced you to do something that you felt uncomfortable doing.
